Altamaha Sparrows

swamp sparrow in pokeberry
Eek! I way behind on this blog. I've got an excuse I've been busy....birding. Anyway on Thursday Priscilla and I went to Atlamaha Waterfowl Management Area-Butler Island. It was hard to make much progress because there were some many birds. Here are just a few images.

Hey Lydia,
Great Swamp Sparrow photo. On Saturday we banded at Panola Mountain State Park and banded 69 new birds (only 3 of which were not sparrows). The highlight was a White-crowed Sparrow that I did not get to see because I was busy extracting...

Anyways, I too am now blogging about my Loggerhead Shrike research.
